The Upper Chama Soil and Water Conservation District is a member of the New Mexico Association of Conservation Districts. 

  • The Upper Chama Soil and Water Conservation District is located at 17305 US Highway 64/84 Tierra Amarilla, New Mexico.

  • Regular office hours are Monday through Thursday from 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. excluding observed legal holidays.

  • Regular District Board Meetings take place on the second Tuesday of every month in the Upper Chama SWCD building. The meetings begin at 5:15 P.M.

We leverage public and private partnerships to conserve our natural resources.

     OUR MISSION    

The Upper Chama Soil and Water Conservation District promotes stewardship of natural resources by providing leadership, education, technical and cost-sharing assistance to landowners/users with the District.

If you are interested in learning more about what projects, funding, and opportunities are available or have input for the district you are welcome to attend our monthly board meeting.

Every 2nd Tuesday of the month at 3pm
